Burntwood advice office refurbishment to pave the way for return of drop-in sessions
Citizens Advice South East Staffordshire (CASES) is refurbishing its Burntwood office to create a more welcoming space for residents seeking advice and support.
Wade House, in Chase Terrace, will temporarily close from 2nd November 2026 while its ground floor undergoes a complete refurbishment. The office is scheduled to reopen on January 2027, with the improvements paving the way for drop-in advice sessions to resume.
The project will improve the experience of people visiting the office and support the charity’s ambition to make face-to-face advice more accessible across Lichfield District.
Wendy Dee, Chief Executive of CASES, said: “We’re delighted to have secured funding to improve Wade House and are grateful to Severn Trent Water for funding part of this project. Their support will help us create a more welcoming space for local people seeking advice.
“When someone comes to us, they may be worried about money, struggling with bills or facing a difficult situation. We want them to feel welcome and comfortable asking for help.
“This refurbishment is an important step towards bringing drop-in advice back to Burntwood, making it easier for people to speak to someone in person.
“While the work takes place, we’ll also be building on our existing outreach sessions and getting out into more local venues, helping residents find out what support is available and how to access it.”
During the closure, CASES is planning additional advice sessions and information events at community venues across Lichfield District. Details will be published as arrangements are confirmed.
CASES provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice on a wide range of issues, including debt, benefits, energy costs, housing and relationships.
